I wanted to learn how to paint since I was in the sixth grade.  However, I did not have the opportunity to fulfill this desire until I was in my mid-20’s  At that point I began studying under a variety of art teachers at each of the locations that we lived – Laurel and Meridian, Mississippi, and Auburn, Alabama.  Each teacher gave me new insights, techniques and approaches to problem solving in painting.

My passion for landscapes in oils grew and has driven my desire to put my thoughts and places traveled on canvas.  I find a deep satisfaction seeing each subject evolve and appear on my canvas.  Each painting is a new adventure for me and a reflection of my desire to express my feelings for color, composition and the beauty that I find in landscape scenes.  I find my art to be totally fulfilling to reflect my love for color and beauty in the world that I see.
