I began my career as an artist by painting Mardi Gras floats here in New Orleans. As a float painter I developed an appreciation of light, texture and bold, contrasting colors.  Float painting afforded me the opportunity to paint on a grand scale and incorporate many of those techniques onto canvas.  New Orleans, Mardi Gras, and music remain the foundation of my artwork today.

What I find most gratifying through my artwork is the different interpretations and connections that people have with it.  It allows people to use their imagination and visualize what is most important to them in each piece. 

While the majority of my work is abstract, I enjoy painting landscapes, murals and commissioned pieces as well.

An important aspect of my life is the strong sense of community shared here in New Orleans.  To this day I am most proud of my partnership with local schools, charities and organizations to help benefit their needs and give back to the city that has inspired me to pursue what I love to do.
