I used to paint. Now I work in three dimensions with color and light and shape to make jewelry, the most intimate art form of all. I love the interactive quality of jewelry as art - that it becomes part of one's personal expression as well as a beautiful object. I love the ritual and the celebratory functions of jewelry, which symbolize and commemorate our rites of passage. Our jewelry dresses us up, represents our wealth and station, and expresses our identity and mood. My work is an expression of many facets of feminine, using the matter of our world and celebrating that we are part of its Family.
