Artist Statement:
Working with clay as a medium for the past couple of years has brought
back to me the creativity that had been dormant for some time, while
keeping up with being a busy mom. I’ve been able to draw from skills and
theories that I learned while pursuing my degree from LSU.
The hand building technique is how my pieces are formed and for me a
very enjoyable process. I use Louisiana Alligator, antique lace and
other found objects as a way to create texture in the clay. My
paintings are inspired by the culture, beauty and simplicity of life in
Southern Louisiana.
