Lafayette"s artist, Julie Breaux, thinks of herself as a colorist most of all. She began painting about 10 years ago after building her home and wanting to decorate with "original art". She experimented with different mediums and quickly discovered her love for color and texture with acrylics. Julie uses complimentary colors to represent light in unexpected ways. Whether a whimsical floral, a street scape, abstract or still life, her bright and bold use of color are sure to lift your spirits. Julie's artwork has gained fast notoriety throughout the community. Her work can be seen throughout Lafayette and in New Orleans as well as in private collections internationally. She is inspired by family and friends and South Louisiana culture which all contribute to the artist she has become.

Please join us for our opening receptions during an art walk on the first Saturday of every month in the New Orleans Arts District from 6 pm to 9 pm.

Our current hours are Mondays - Saturday 10 AM - 5 PM or by appointment.
